Ukrainian wines once again conquered the Wine Paris & Vinexpo 2024 exhibition in Paris

For the second year in a row, Ukrainian wines are participating in the large-scale Wine Paris & Vinexpo exhibition on 12-14th February 2024, which is held under the auspices of French President Emmanuel Macron in Paris.

Three days passed quickly, but they were filled with incredible impressions and positive moments. The Wine of Ukraine stand became a meeting place for numerous winemakers, sommeliers, wine experts, distributors, restaurateurs, journalists and ordinary consumers.

It was an extraordinary chance for Ukrainian winemakers, as 4,074 participants from 48 countries and 40,000 visitors from 155 countries became potential tasters of Ukrainian wines.

The Wine of Ukraine national stand united Ukrainian winemakers – from craft to large companies. All the main styles and types of wines were presented: sparkling, dry, dessert, white, red. In particular, these were the winners of the Ukrainian Wine Ambassador 2023, who represented Ukraine at La Cité du Vin – the wine museum in Bordeaux: Chateau Chizay (Transcarpathia), Graevo (Zaporizka region), Villa UA (Dnipropetrovsk region), as well as Bolgrad (Odesa region).

Our Ukrainian wines pleasantly surprised not only the visitors of the exhibition, but also the Master Sommeliers of France. Their positive feedback is a pleasant bonus for Ukrainian winemakers. The visitors liked the masterful combination of European grape varieties, such as Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc, and were also surprised by the aged red wine Cabernet Sauvignon, but the local grape varieties Citronny Magaracha, Cherseghi Fuseresh, Furmint, Sukholimanskyi white, Odessa Black were most interested.

Not only representatives from other countries showed interest in our wines, but Ukrainians living abroad also felt pride in the success of the development of winemaking in Ukraine. Every year, more and more wineries and high-quality wines appear in our country.

We were especially pleased to welcome our partners from La Cité du Vin, Florence Maffrand and Clément Balmette, who shared their impressions of the tastings at the Belvedere and presented the presentation report of the Ukrainian Wine Ambassador 2022 and 2023. This is a big step for Ukrainian winemaking, recognized by the Foundation for Culture and Civilization fault. This emphasizes the growing popularity and demand for Ukrainian wines among foreign consumers.

In addition, we are pleased to announce that Ukrvinprom, together with the National University of Food Technologies, signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with the Agency for International Economic Cooperation of the New Aquitaine region, which became an important step in the development of winemaking, education and science in Ukraine.

Every year, Wine Paris & Vinexpo brings new opportunities and inspires new achievements.

The participation of Ukrainian wines in such exhibitions as Wine Paris and Vinexpo Paris is extremely important. Together with other events on the international platform, this contributes to the popularization of the Ukrainian wine brand, because Ukraine is a wine-producing country.

   The event was supported by:

  • Ambassade d’Ukraine en France / Embassy of Ukraine in France
  • Embassy of France in Ukraine
  • Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine
