Wine of Ukraine conquers the tastes of
foreigners at La Cité du Vin
On 14th December, La Cité du Vin hosted an incredible event – two exciting presentation and tasting sessions at the World Winery Afterwork 2023 that left guests in awe. Tickets for this unique event were sold out a month before its start, which shows the great interest of foreigners in Ukrainian production.
The presenters were the general director of Ukrvinprom – Volodymyr Kucherenko and the professor of applied economics for the wine industry and consultant abroad – Stefan Bade. They told the listeners about the thousand-year history of Ukrainian winemaking, revealing the peculiarities of each region and 58 subregions, where the unique culture of growing grapes flourishes.
The traditions and modern realities of winegrowers were emphasized. We would like to thank La Cité du Vin and Florence Maffran for an important step in popularizing Ukrainian culture and wines and supporting winegrowers and winemakers. Even in the difficult time of the war in Ukraine, our producers continue to create and give a taste of joy.
It is nice to note that foreigners, studying our history and culture, show interest not only in our history, but also in our wines.
Each glass of Ukrainian wine caused great admiration and impression among all present, as evidenced by numerous positive reviews and questions from the guests. Wine of Ukraine left a warm mark in the hearts of the guests.
It is a pleasure to note the participation of the representatives of the mayor’s office of Bordeaux – Céline Papin and the best sommeliers of the city.
During the event, further cooperation was discussed, which promises to obtain more positive results and achievements for Ukrainian winemaking.
